Join Friends of the School
Friends of the School are looking for volunteers to join the committee and help plan events.

The Friends of Pocklington Junior School are a group of staff and parent volunteers who work together to raise money for the school.
There is a core group of about 8 organisers including a chair, a treasurer, a secretary, as well as ordinary committee members and a wider group who make themselves available to help at the larger events such as fairs. We meet at least once a term and set up smaller working groups to organise individual events. All parents are welcome to come along to our meetings and can be involved as much or as little as they like.
What do Friends do?
We organise and run exciting and entertaining fundraising events throughout the school year.
The funds we raise go towards extra equipment and resources for the school. Some of our recent contributions include contributing to a whole school pantomime, new kitchen equipment and extra musical instruments for music lessons.
Why get involved?
The Friends committee depends on parent/carer involvement. It is a great way to feel more involved with the school and to share your skills and experience to benefit the school, whether it be skills in event planning, marketing or design to face painting or baking or more, we’d love you to join us.
